Project Design

Project design mainly involves the design and evaluation of different restoration and conservation scenarios through which a project site may be improved ecologically. It guides project developers as they determine which actions, applied to which project areas, will deliver outcomes best aligned with their specific objectives.

Using the information gathered during baseline, project developers design how the project site will generate more environmental benefits. This requires them to consider their objectives for the project and evaluate the approved actions and methods that can generate ecosystem service credits.

At the end of this stage a project developer will have a final project design and a set of corresponding credit estimates tied to selected part of the project site that may be carried forward through the rest of the ECP’s functionality.
